  About Faculty of Pharmacy
Faculty of Pharmacy, as one of the eight affiliated faculties of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences (KUMS), was established in 2001 and it began to admit pharmacy students in 2003. The faculty has arranged course of six years to offer a Pharm D. There are seven distinct departments including Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Traditional Pharmacy, Biopharmaceuticals and Nano-medicine. Each department has an important role in the faculties educational and research programs. All of the departments are equipped with specialized laboratories and instrumental facilities. There are twenty two faculty members including twelve assistant professors, eight associate professors and two professors. Moreover, the Faculty of Pharmacy has two educational pharmacies where student learn practical aspects of the profession. Students also participate in some clinical programs of the university’s educational hospitals to get familiar with some pharmacotheraputic management that is necessary for a pharmacist. The faculty also collaborates with other educational and research centers within the university such as teaching hospitals and research centers as well as pharmaceutical companies and community pharmacies outside the university. The faculty has a potential to cover a wide range of pharmaceutical related research experiments, such as drug discovery, drug design and synthesis, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology and toxicology tests. It also designs different drug delivery formulations, pharmacokinetic studies and performs clinical trials on drugs. It is equipped with 8 specialized laboratories, one herbarium, and a special warehouse for the storage of chemical solvents.
Ever since its inception in 2003, faculty of pharmacy has been an active scientific body. The Journal of Reports in Pharmaceutical Sciences (JRPS) is a scientific journal under the aegis of faculty of pharmacy and is now in its 7th year (2012-2018) of publication.
  About the Journal

The Journal of Reports in Pharmaceutical Sciences (pISSN: 2322-1232, eISSN: 2322-5106) is a peer reviewed journal that publishes papers related to all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences consist of medicinal chemistry, molecular modeling, drug design, pharmaceutics, biopharmacy, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, pharmacognosy, natural products, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmacology, toxicology and clinical pharmacy. It provides a medium for publication of original papers, letters, laboratory notes, short communications, and invited reviews. The JRPS is the official journal of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences.

Article Processing Charges for Iranian Authors:
Iranian authors whose articles are accepted for publication in the journal must pay the amount of 15,000,000 Rials to Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences. This is applied for accepted articles from October 2, 2022.

Digital Archiving

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.

Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.

CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.

Advertisements

While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

  • "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
  • The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
  • Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.

  Aims and scope of the journal

The Journal of Reports in Pharmaceutical Sciences(JRPS) is a biannually peer-reviewed multi-disciplinary pharmaceutical publication to serve as a means for scientific information exchange in the international pharmaceutical forum. It accepts novel findings that contribute to advancement of scientific knowledge in pharmaceutical fields that not published or under consideration for publication anywhere else for publication in JRPS as original research article. all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences consist of medicinal chemistry, molecular modeling, drug design, pharmaceutics, biopharmacy, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, pharmacognosy, natural products, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmacology, toxicology and clinical pharmacy.
